"Three years ago, at the age of 35, I changed my life’s direction. I have
a degree in dramatic arts, but it was the food service industry that provided
my living. I decided to serve another way by starting the schooling to become
a hospice nurse. I gave up my car and a steady income, yet I feel lucky
because at City College I’ve met people of every background and generation,
and we share a common goal — a quality education that will lead to
a better life than we had before."
