Please join us as we officially hold the Grand Opening of the beautiful new Quad at Mesa College at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022.

The new campus Quadrangle (Quad) is designed to serve as the physical "heart" of the college providing a main thoroughfare through campus. The project was funded by the District's $1.555 billion Propositions S and N construction bond program and is the final bond project for Mesa College. 

The Quad design includes several strategically placed walkways to help students navigate the campus.  It also has an outdoor stage area to hold campus events, such as the traditional Welcome Week, job fairs, financial aid fairs, and pep rallies. The northwest side of the Quad provides simple and direct access to the "K" Building, renovated to provide new student support spaces . The surrounding landscape uses a variety of native species and a high-efficiency irrigation system to conserve water.

The program will include remarks from Mesa College President Dr. Pamela Luster, Chancellor Dr. Carlos Turner Cortez, Vice Chancellor of Facilities Dr. Joel Peterson , and Dr. Maria Nieto Senour, the President of the San Diego Community College District Board of Trustees. Immediately following the program will be self-guided tours of the area and adjacent student support services, including the Veterans Center, The Stand, the Fostering Academic Success and Transitions (FAST) Scholars and the Honors Center.
