“The districtwide career fair is an annual collaborative event where all four of our colleges, City College, Mesa College, Miramar College, and the College of Continuing Education work together to invite employers and students for a day of career exploration, job interviews, professional headshots, and networking,” says Amertah Perman, Dean of Career Education and Workforce Development at the SDCCD. “The district sees career services as a basic need, student success is career success and we work hard to ensure all of our students have access to critical work-based learning and career guidance to not only prepare them for jobs, but ensure they are competitive in the workplace.”
Attendees will gain insights from industry experts as employers will be providing a range of hiring opportunities including full-time and part-time work, as well as internships and apprenticeships. Job developers from each of the district colleges hand-selected employer representation from industry sectors enrolled students are exploring within their academics at City College, Mesa College, Miramar College, and the College of Continuing Education.
