Key Items of Interest:
- Microgrid Pilot: The Measure HH team is advancing a microgrid pilot at Miramar College as a long-term sustainable energy solution. The project is approximately 20% through design and will serve as a model for future implementation at other campuses, reducing reliance on SDG&E, lowering emissions, and supporting long-term energy resilience.
- Utility Capacity Assessments: The Measure HH design team is confirming capacities of existing utilities, including water, power, sewer, storm drain, and communications, across all campuses.
- RFQ/P Enhanced FF&E/Logistics Management Services: The RFQ/P solicitation closed on Feb. 9; seven proposals were submitted. The proposals will be reviewed by the PMOs with recommendations forwarded to Vice Chancellor Peterson for final review and interviews as needed. Approval is anticipated to be requested at the Mar. 12 board meeting.
- Geographical Information Systems (GIS): A cross-functional team effort is underway to improve utility location accuracy and enable visual mapping of buildings, rooms, and parking across campuses on Measure HH project management systems.
- Simplifier: The Measure HH administrative team is continuing implementation and updates to a one-stop software for tracking costs, schedules, project notes, reporting, and invoice routing across all regions. The software integrates with PeopleSoft ERP through nightly data exports to support financial reconciliation and oversight.
