Bid Advertisement #1 was published on March 25, 2026. Bid Advertisement #2 was published on April 10, 2026. Job Walk #1 was held on April 3, 2026, and Job Walk #2 was held on April 10, 2026. Bids were received on April 22, 2026.

Upcoming Milestones:

• Flooring material procurement: May 15, 2026 through July 3, 2026.
• Installation of new flooring anticipated: July 6, 2026 through August 14, 2026.
• Removal of existing carpet commenced June 15,2026.
• Carpet procurment June 23, 2026
• Anticipated carpet installation completion August 14th, 2026. 

Project Features

• San Diego Community College District will furnish all new carpet materials, including carpet tiles and rolled products, for installation at the SDCCD Mesa College Campus.
• Carpet products are Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed (OFCI).
• The Flooring Contractor shall furnish and install all required adhesives, rubber base, and related materials necessary for removal of existing flooring, substrate preparation, and complete installation of the new carpeting.
• The District will procure flooring materials from Patcraft or similar commercial manufacturers.
• Carpet shall consist of vinyl-cushioned tufted textile with integrated vinyl backing.
• Carpet products shall be certified under the Green Label Plus program to ensure low VOC emissions and improved indoor air quality.
