Developing New Agreements
The Agreement Development process is managed by the SDCCD CTE Transitions Program Office housed within the District's Career Education and Workforce Development Department. If you are interested in establishing a credit by exam agreement, please reach out to our office to begin the process.

Management of Active Agreements
A master list of all active CTE Transitions Credit by Exam agreements is maintained by the CTE Transitions Program Office.
Agreement Renewals
Agreement effective dates are set for two academic years (unless faculty request a one-year agreement). Prior to the renewal date, the SDCCD CTE Transitions Program Office will reach out to both agreement partners to initiate the renewal process. The renewal process requires SDCCD College faculty to review existing agreement details, course information, and end of course exam or portfolio. If changes are needed (updates to curriculum, changes to the exam, etc.) then the agreement is not renewed until all revised materials are complete. Agreements are typically active from the start of a fall semester through the end of the summer term.
Implementation of Agreements
The CTE Transitions Program Office manages high school petitions for credit and SDCCE certification applications for credit. Details regarding student requirements and processes for receiving college credit are available here:

District Articulation Committee (DAC) - Agreement Updates
The Career Education and Workforce Development Department provides the DAC monthly updates on CTE Transitions Articulation Credit by Exam.
Articulation Officers are engaged at all stages of the agreement process and are key to assessing impacts to four-year articulation agreements and transitions.
