Welcome to the Institutional Innovation and Effectiveness (II&E) Division. At SDCCD, we partner with colleges and district offices to advance strategic planning, institutional research, accreditation, and the thoughtful integration of innovation and emerging technologies. Our work strengthens data-informed decision-making, continuous improvement, and inclusive innovation across the district. As Vice Chancellor, I am proud of our team’s equity-centered commitment to student success. We develop districtwide guidelines, frameworks, and tools that support consistent data definitions, improved data quality, increased data literacy, and clear documentation - working collaboratively across colleges and departments to advance student success and institutional effectiveness.

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Research (OIER) supports research, planning, and decision-making around the district by providing data about enrollment, outcomes, and student services.
